Exploring the East

Exploring the East

Wow… I can’t believe I am already halfway through September! At this point, the next few weeks of this trip are entirely dedicated to the east coast. Even though there really aren’t that many National Parks on the coast itself, I am taking my time and visiting a host of friends that I haven’t seen in far too long. I would also never forgive myself if I simply bypassed cities like Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington DC without properly exploring them. They are just as important to understanding America as its wilderness areas, especially from a historical point of view.

So, without further adieu, here is my basic route for the next few weeks!

It was awesome meeting Jeremy when he began his journey at a small coffee shop near Acadia. I was inspired to dig in deeper to the sense of adventure that I love and will also be heading west to see as many Nat. Parks as possible apart from what I hiked on the AT this year. You are a rad individual. spread joy!!!!!!!!! 🙂

That is awesome Heather! I am so glad that you are taking the initiative to move west. Acadia is a special place, but the west is truly a place of wonder. Maybe our paths will cross again out there! Happy trails.
