As with many aspects of life, it seems that this trip to England also has phases. For the first week, my Dad and I will be in Cornwall in the southwestern corner of England. We are staying in a wee cottage in the wee little hamlet of Durgan. We’ve been wandering the area for two days now. Here are some of our adventures! Stay tuned for more soon.
Chyandour Cottage... Home for a week.
Our next door neighbor.
Two-way, one lane road. Very exciting.
Phonebooths may be on the way out, but Briish ones better stay around simply as set pieces. American ones can go.
Dinghy in Durgan
Stone stairway leading down to a tidal flat.
The southernmost church in England.
A bend in the Coastal Path.
Southernmost cafe in England. Their veggie burger wasn't too bad!
Coastal Cornwall=Blustery.
Breakers in a cliffed out bay.
View from Asparagus Island into Kynance Cove.
View from Asparagus Island south down the Cornish Coast
I think I drove that little cow path. The one clinging to the sheer and breathtaking plunge into the Atlantic. When we finally reached our destination, I could not uncurl my hands from the steering wheel for several minutes. Then, there was good English beer and darts…
I am envying every step you are taking. I remember the scenery looking down on the sea. Stat well, and enjoy yourself every day
Love to you both. Gramma

Sweet! If the roads are too scary, just use the Tardis.
