2015.09.06 – Welcome to Nova Scotia

While I often try to pair prose with photos to describe what I am doing on a daily basis, Nova Scotia is so photogenic that I decided to let the pictures do the talking for the day. Here are some captioned photos for today. Expect stories (and more photos) soon!

Enjoy.

The newly commissioned Rose of Fundy brought us across the Bay of Fundy (Saint John, NB to Digby, NS) in just over two hours.

When you are dealing with up to thirty foot tides, you need a special system for docking. This is how the Rose of Fundy unloads its precious cargo in high and low tide.

These pictures surely tell the story of “a little bit of heaven” in this far away place where Sue and her partner live with their dog . I am so happy for Nan to be able to visit them, thanks to you.
