Blogger’s Remorse: Part 1

Blogger’s Remorse: Part 1

To be entirely honest, I never thought I would have a blog. Blogging always felt like a form of self-promotion and self-idolization. Social media thrives on that concept, but blogs are one of the most concentrated and calculated forms of that phenomenon. People create posts about the cool things they have done or about the life changing realizations that occur to them throughout the day. Why? So that other people can share in their experience? Or so that the world around them can marvel at their wisdom and good fortune?

So why do I want to become a part of that world? My motivations are relatively simple. As I embark down this new, and somewhat rambling, path, I want to hold myself accountable for the time I am taking away from the responsibilities that I once held. These coming months are not meant to be idly spent. I will be focusing on my own personal growth. This blog is one of the ways that I will track that progress. It will be a public forum where I can analyze the experiences that I have had, the books that I have read, or the things that I have seen. Some of my thoughts may be trivial, others more in-depth, but the goal is to shape those thoughts into the framework of this blog.
